What Happens During A Swedish Massage?
In Swedish massage the therapist lubricates the skin with oil and performs various massage strokes that warm up and work the muscle tissue, releasing tension and breaking up muscle “knots”.
Before the massage, the therapist will carry out a health consultation about any injuries or other conditions that she should know about.
After the consultation, the therapist will instruct you how to lie on the table — face up or face down, and underneath a large towel — and then leaves the room while you undress down to your underwear. She will knock and ask if you are ready before entering.
A session lasts around 50 minutes including. Please allow an extra 20 minutes on your first visit for your initial in-depth consultation, which is free.
